Fix for issue occasionally preventing Adaptive brightness from activating in certain conditions

Just ran into this issue a few moments ago heh. Glad to see a fix is incoming.
Nothing in the changelog regarding a fix for bricking pixel 6 devices with the Android 15 update... Awesome stuff Google!
My Pixel 7 has been freezing and requiring a soft reboot 5 times today and yesterday, also it gets hot when it happens. (Update, I cleared all app settings and so far so good.)
