I really hope as a Proton Unlimited subscriber I'll have access to the full version of Standard Notes eventually, like what happened with Simple Login. Although it's clear that they used the SN acquisition to launch Proton Docs or whatever it is, which I appreciate although I don't use, I'd love to switch from Obsidian to SN. Just need access to the markdown functionality.
What makes you think that? I'd assume such an announcement would come from Proton not Standard Notes. As like a, "hey, here's more value from your subscription" kind of a thing. I don't think it would cost them any more to offer it. Especially since it'd use Proton Drive to sync.
I have used StandardNotes until recently. Unfortunately I had to change because I want to collaborate and share notes with my SO. If SN gets that I will probably move back as I already am using other proton services and I prefered using SN. I will continue to pay attention to your progress going forward!
Will the 'pro' features ever be included in a Proton sub? I like Standard Notes and all, and i would love the be able to support them, but 90 bucks a year is waaayy too steep for me... A respectable one time payment should be more in its place here...
Have you tried Proton Docs? While not the exact same thing as Standard Notes, the editing and history seems to be quite similar. All "notes" files are stored in Proton Drive too.
Or are there other features in Standard Notes not to be found in the Proton suite?
