That's kinda the most insane part about tankies supporting Putin to me. Russia is basically Reagan's wet dream right now, their entire government and economic system was built in the image American capitalists wanted. To support Putin is to support the Western hegemony, but since Russia was the Soviet Union once, Tankies just give it a free pass? Wtf?
I mean there is a lot of cold-war style projection going on, and everybody's against war, against sending weapons and people getting butchered, is called a russian troll and a tankie. Maybe some communists are supporting putin out of hate against the US. I'm not. I hate Putin. I wouldn't want to live in China. But I get what the root cause is and when I see some german idiot saying the ukrainian should get butchered to the last one for territory, I'm like "dude it's human beings we're talking about".
