More like they don't want to keep bickering with the media companies about licensing for a niche product.
Blurays are scary to streaming services as they are physical media that can't be deleted.
- They are going to make it so the only way to "own" media is to pirate it.
  
  I think there is some serious irony at play. There attempts to stop piracy have just made it worse.

Meanwhile, I have been shifting back towards physical media because not everything is available to stream, it's sometimes costs more to stream versus buying the disc, and sometimes you purchase the streaming version only for it to leave the platform. Plus you don't get things like director's commentary if you stream.
