How is this leopards ate my face?
- Maybe actual leopards were involved?
- Because the lefties voted for it saying it wouldn't be abused, and here it is, being abused.
  
  The median age of this group was more than 77. The vast majority – around 96% - had a death deemed "reasonably foreseeable", due to severe medical conditions such as cancer.
  In the small minority of other cases, patients may not have been terminally ill, but sought an assisted death due to a long and complicated illness that had significantly impacted their quality of life.
  Ah yes, "abused" through being used exactly as designed.
  
  The article mentions two or three anecdotes that were clear failures, but I haven't seen studies showing a systemic problem. Do you have evidence of that?
  
  Just because you're afraid to die doesn't mean others are. It's their choice & none of your business. There is no abuse because there are plenty of safeguards in place preventing people from doing this willy-nilly. Go find something that's a REAL problem to fearmonger about.
You should go back to posting on Conservative, and getting downvoted there.
This article doesn't belong in this community. The death with dignity law is working as intended and helping people who average over 77 years old pass away on their own terms, saving months if not years of pain, suffering, and expenses for them and their families. What is so leopards ate my face about that?
