I get it, you're better than me because you like it and I don't.

Thank you Satan, La Croix are amazing
Right? What options do we have that aren't alcoholic or sickeningly sweet?
Kombucha.
I recently found a very mildly sweetened tea and I've been in love. Tall can and only 7 grams of sugar. I can drink them all day and I don't feel like I'm going to enter into a diabetic coma like I do after one sip of Arizona tea.
Problem is they aren't cheap and they only give you free shipping on the first batch... Not sure I am willing to spend the money on getting them consistently which sucks. I need to find somewhere local and stock up.
Plus, they are amazing as mixers, so you can always make them alcoholic
La Croix seems to be the best of the available off-the-shelf sparkling waters brands, at least where I live. Liquid Death, Bubbly, Aha, Spindrift, and Waterloo just don't seem as good imo.
Though Topo Chico is also bomb 👍
Where I live, for unflavored, it's Polar > La Croix >>>>> anything else.
I personally prefer the Kirkland signature brand to La Croix. But that just be me.
Maybe literally. I think their soda has the most PFAS of all of them. Coca-cola!
Man, Waterloo has some good flavors though!
I agree.. I award you +3 points
I love sparkling water, and bonus that the office stocks them in the fridge. Biggest complaint is that they don’t have just plain, no flavor La Croix or lime either.
My favorite sparkling water so far is Topo Chico. La Croix may be less expensive though.
Topo Chico is god tier - above Perrier, San Peligrino, etc… It’s just carbonated as fuck. Don’t even need flavor.
Brainwashed by popular sugar products, the human makes fun of healthier alternatives. Where’s my high fructose corn syrup, caffeine, and cancer causing agents?! /s
just not liking the teasing of flavor is all. If I want flavor I will drink the sugary ones, otherwise I will just drink plain water. Having nothing is better than unsatisfying amount that makes you want more.
Context? Does it taste bad or?
It taste like drinking carbonated water while someone whispers the flavor three rooms over 😅
It's aftertaste as a flavor.
This is the best description I've read lol.
Ahhh I see 🤣
🤣🤣🤣
My favorite flavor is hint of hint of lime.
No. Some people just can’t handle subtlety.
It tastes like licking a crt screen that is showing the scrambled image of a grapefruit.
So, it's great when the office stocks it for free.
The Lemoncello is a strong delicious flavor.
The Cherry Blossom is NASTY, it tastes like tootsie rolls.
Lacroix? Taste?
Are you a super taster or something? I only ever taste cardboard with a fine mist of watered down fruit juice when I drink them.
Bubbly’s are way better, or even Waterloos.
Well, I don’t drink any sugary drinks ever, so that may be part of it. But the Lemoncello specifically has very much taste!
Hi. It depends on how long you haven't drank any sweet drinks like soda. LaCroix has a lot of flavor. But if you where to drink 2 mountain dews a day for 10 years straight you won't taste anything but ass.
If that’s the devils water I guess I’m a devil worshipper. I love sparkling water. La croix is very good however Spindrift is my favorite and love all their flavors.
Hello fellow spindrift enjoyer, it's good to know that there's others like me. Honestly I just love the lemon flavor (no hate on other ones though).
Spindrift orange mango is so nice... mmmm
Maaaan. I kicked soda several years back and I like flavored water now lol. It's getting a bit pricey now these days.
Get a soda maker and add a tiny amount of syrup or fruit juice
Hey .. that's not a bad idea.
I'll take Pellegrino. But the devil didn't make carbonated water, he made Canada Geese,
I don't feel as strongly about la croix, but if I have a choice I'm getting polar water instead. If you're looking for flavored water, it's the best imho.
Polar Vanilla is the best bubbly water I've found but I can't get it anymore!
I've never heard of or seen that before. Thank you for passing along your white whale lol. Now I need it too. Tbh, all their flavors are pretty good if you haven't tried the others, I'd suggest giving them a shot. My local grocery store (it's very local so not naming it so I don't dox myself) has a very good alternative store brand. I like berry flavors, and their in house brand is just as good as polar if not better. Worth trying your local store brand just in case you get lucky and find a new favorite!
There are a lot of categories of food and drink that I will never understand how anyone likes them. 'Unsweetened and carbonated' is reasonably high on the list for me - carbonation itself is bitter in my experience, and bitter by itself is unpleasant.
Of course different strokes for different folks, I don't think people who like it should stop, I just don't get why they do.
I don't understand why people drink water uncarbonated. I got mytself a soda maker, though as the water is just fine here. I usually only add a drop of lemon juice.
I don't get people binging on liquid sugar drinks. Only a hint of syrup gives my bubbly water the idea of sweetness.
I wouldn't buy this crap though, I'd happily drink it for free.
Home-brewer here. I've used a C02 canister and keg to carbonate my beer for a while, since it's simpler and more consistent than trying to add sugar to a bottle before capping it.
I also bought a $1 adapter that lets me connect my CO2 to a bottle and carbonate a few liters of water with a few moments of shaking. Add a few tiny bottles of flavoring and I can make a 12-pack of seltzer in about 30 seconds with any flavors I have on hand. Pear is my current favorite, but I also have cherry, vanilla, orange and others, and they can be mixed. My kiddos love the 'dreamsicle' that is a few drops of vanilla + orange. I rarely add sugar, unless I'm aiming for a more 'soda' vibe.
The CO2 canister and gas regulator assembly was probably $70-ish bucks around 10 years ago. Refilling the canister is $20 and I do it around quarterly, while making 5-10 liters of seltzer a week. I have a homebrew store nearby, but I'm pretty sure that I could find a food-grade CO2 provider too, since any bar needs one.
I have friends who use SodaStream, but their gas canisters are terrible for pricing when you can do it yourself.
I used seltzer to kick a soda habit. I swapped sugary sodas like Mountain Dew for a non-sugar fizzy drink. I just couldn't go for flat water and needed the bubbles. LaCroix and its cousins were a step in the right direction and having the ability to make my own on-demand was perfect.
Dude I love that shit. Especially citrusy flavors. But everyone’s tastes are different.
If I ever have to unload one of those fucking trucks again I'm going to commit a terrorist attack.
Hail Satan, my favorite pops
Don't buy and drink "La Croix" in France unless you want to drink bleach.
No son of mine is going to drink "La Croix!"
We drink Waterloo in this house
Hail Satan then, I'm a recovering alcoholic and millennial and I like drinking something that feels like a punishment.
I thought this was going to go this way: https://youtu.be/O-RiJktDeXo
I’ve heard Americans pronounce it La cRoy and I refuse to accept that
Apparently that exact pronunciation is on their website.
It’s American so it’s not surprising they say the name wrong
Like Guy Fieri
yeah but the alternative is to use the french pronunciation which is also fucking stupid
Is that not how you read it in your head?
La croix contains some chemical that gives me an instant migraine. I drink the Kirkland sparkling water, for whatever reason it doesn’t do the same.
Sparkling water gang is superior to soda cucks
