I left the moment the blackout started. After u/spez AMA and the verge article I knew I was done. I’ve got the front page 5x in 6 years 359k karma. It’s hard not checking Reddit but I got to move past it
Same! Had several accounts that have made the front page multiple times. Nuked all of my accounts yesterday. With that much karma, you can probably get a pretty penny for your accounts.
High karma accounts to incognito advertise things, bad actors trying to spread bad ideas, and Russian/Chinese propaganda on a Western social platform. I've already checked out on Reddit, so I don't give a shit what nefarious things whoever buys my account needs them for.
Eh if anything crazy ever came from it, I'd have the (literal) receipts to prove it's not me. All of my usernames were different than what I use for anything else, though, so it would be hard to even link them to me.

I've checked it a few times using Boost without posting since the API Apocalypse. Since Boost stopped working, I've checked Reddit once or twice with the official app. It's made me appreciate Boost even more.
I thought I remembered how bad the official app was, but it was even worse than I remembered. I'd have quit Reddit years ago had I needed to use the official app all this time!
Just closed my accounts yesterday, 10-year cakeday award. Crazy to think what they are willing to throw away but just like when companies start to cut corners and the smart and talented folks leave, same thing is happening at Reddit. It's a huge loss, and we'll build something better and have it be federated, fuck 'em.
