As with the buds, you’ll need a phone running Android 13 or later, and dynamic head tracking only works with compatible video apps.
Just did loads of research into these and ended up buying the XM4s because every honest review said that all the new features on the 5s were just gimmicks that added nothing but complications
Same, bought xm4 two weeks ago. Mostly because xm5 case is kinda big and the features itself doesn't have much difference
They're absolutely fantastic headphones, but fuckin hell, I wish I could disable the play/pause double tap, and switch it to the custom button.
The amount of times when you have the headphones round your neck, it brushes your chin and restarts playback 😡 Not so bad with music, fuckin infuriating with audiobooks
XM4 are in some market a lot cheaper.
So, like, this only works when you watch videos on your phone? Who wants immersive audio on a six inch screen?
All I want is to be able to MANUALLY switch betweeny conncected multipoint inputs. It's infuriating that this isn't possible.
Better still, Sony is no longer making WH-1000XM5 owners choose between multipoint and LDAC

Sony is a shit company with long track record of treating their customers like garbage.
Would you mind elaborating? Are we talking in the headphones space or more generally?
Unfortunately they're the only consumer brand that balances good audio and tech
Customer support can be much better, their live chat is essentially a hoax
