Nowadays? You just install it. It's all plug and play. Mint is great for starters.
Me too. I'm chronically ill and putting the energy into learning Linux has been a greater demand than dealing with the crappiness of Windows 11, but this would absolutely do it. I won't be dealing with ads on MY computer's base software and I won't pay them monthly for a subpar, frustrating, and irregular experience.
