  • Wow. I did not have Daredevil taking bullet for Kingpin on my bingo card.

So much about this episode to love, it's sad the finale is next week. I know they're filming season 2 right now so it'll be "soon", but the wait will suuuuuuck.

Anyway Michael Gandolfini continues to be my favorite new character. He's a believer in Fisk. BB playing him, but Fisk has to know. Oh it's going to be brutal.

Also confirmation of Swordsman. I hope Tony Dalton sticks around for a long time. I just love when a minor character gets elevated to top tier status.

But of course our winner this week is Bullseye. Nearly killed a guy with his tooth, then finished him and another off with a pair of scissors (?). It's the perfect level of "superhero" wackiness. Kingpin created him, so to see him fully unleashed is just beautiful.

  • You can tell this episode was made by different people compared to episodes 2-7. Way better in every way, especially pacing.

I hope kingpin dies next episode TBH, as much as I enjoy him it would be great if he can step aside so the series has another main villain for next season.

    • Killing Kingpin would be a huge mistake. Villains should stick around (generally). I'm fine if someone wants to step up and eliminate Fisk, but keep him around.

But really I want to see Kingpin win, and keep winning. When Kingpin showed up in Hawkeye, Hawkeye says that's the guy he's worried about... And he basically just loses.

As Mayor he's rising up. He's just won back Vanessa. His Taskforce are free to do whatever they want. Now he needs to win something else. He needs to just dominate. Others can try to take him down, maybe some are even successful, but he always needs the ability to come back.
