there's a lot of good things about her characterization and the story can be really sweet at times...
but god damn is the author creepy as shit! i would be enjoying a really cute scene only to have the male gaze get turned up to 11, reminding me the author has a history in loli hentai. Unlike the nier creator, it feels a lot less harmless when the oc is so clearly an immature kid.

I have similar thoughts on Made in Abyss. Holy fuck is it good horror and a compelling story, but jesus the author is creepy towards little kids. And I've only watched the anime, which is probably very toned down on that front compared to the manga

I hate nagatoro so much I watched literally one episode then had to stop she's just a standard bully that I dealt with growing up people just think haha she's so cute cause girl she's genuinely awful
