It’s been a while (think decades) since I watched any considerable amount of anime, but off the top of my head, Patlabor, Trigun (possibly problematic), Gundam Wing, Robotech, Solo Leveling.
Stretching the definition of anime: Gargoyles, Star Wars: Rebels and Castlevania (2017)-
I love me some Patlabor. Really recommended if you want something for adults. Wings of Honneamise should also be on that list.

Wings has that very out of place rape scene

Uh, I don't even remember that. It's been a while since I watched that movie.

As I recall it makes more sense in the Japanese language version but it cones out if nowhere.

I just read up on it and now I remember the scene. No idea what I thought about it previously, though. I understand what the studio was trying to achieve with the attempted rape. It was just an asinine way to go about it.

And it is why I don’t recommend the film because it was so odd. I wouldnt want to have to have a conversation about it with people I suggested it to.
