  • Love that we live in a country where people who haven't done anything illegal for twenty years are getting deported for no reason but rich fucks get to walk around the White House with boxes full of drugs that they're not supposed to have and nothing happens to them.

  • psychedelic mushrooms and ecstasy at private gatherings? yeeesh can you imagine being on hallucinogens at these types of events with these types of monsters? i'd 100% have a bad trip

    • I took acid and went to a Six Sigma Christmas party as a plus one to a friend who worked at a bank. LSD makes me very social and I just drank a lot so everyone thought I was just drunk. I think while trying to blend in I described myself as 'a wild eyed grunt sent to war who just wants to kill. But in an economic sense. I'm just here to spread misery.' And it was taken pretty well

    • I've actually been to parties in Silicon Valley with rich capitalists before and did a bunch of drugs with them

The capitalists themselves were pretty boring to chat with but I mostly hung out with the hired catering staff + musicians and the capitalists GFs and wives (usually 1-3 decades younger lmao). There were also some models that I think were hired to attend that were also really fun with hang out with

It's not terrible, there was weird performative white people woke shit like the host was a white dude, all his capitalist friends were white dudes, and the only POC was me, the party staff, and a few of the partners of capitalists. And they would do hippie spiritual sound baths, have black people play African drums in African garb while talking about the spirit of Africa, playing Indigenous music and saying how we need to respect their land, have Asian musicians talk about Buddhism and spirituality, etc.

One of the Asian musicians even told me they went by their Asian name to the guests to seem more "oriental". But he told me to just call him Alex LOL

The mansions are usually decorated with both lots of recognizable local and famous art with shit taste but there were cool places to hang out at like the pool, sauna, movie theater, music studio, etc.

I had fun being high af off a cocktail of whatever free drugs I'd get offered at those parties, but again, only because I mostly talked to the non capitalists there

  • The more I read about shrooms and CHUDS taking them the more I'm convinced shrooms aren't so much mind expanding, but self affirming. I thought these things were supposed to help make people more relatable, compassionate, open to karger picture things.

Then again maybe narcissistic nazis are so hard wired to be fucked up, no amount of chemical correction can fix them.

Maybe some of the psyconauts in the room can clarify. Ixm not demonizing recreational drug use - just ignorant for my own lack of it looking from the outside so to say.

Been wanting to do shrooms / ego death to fix my terminal cynicism and chronic depression. But idk now. And idk where to get them. Maybe Ann Arbor - legal there.

    • theres too much of a mythology that anything psychoactive "opens up the mind", when i take edibles i come up with shit like disco defense lessons to thwart attacks by The Village People

    • I'm sober nowadays, but psychedelics are the only drugs I can look back fondly on without any reservations. Might do them again some day, just not anytime soon.

Honestly I think it depends on setting and mindset, I can think of a few trips than fundamentally changed who I was as a person, whether that was making me realize that I could be trans, or helping me see how much of a hindrance my own ego was. In the same vain, I can think of many trips where I was easily manipulated by others, or overly sure of my own thought patterns. The difference between these trips was usually the headspace I was taking them in. The life-changing trips, I was tripping just to trip, expecting nothing out of it. The ones that harmed me long term, I was seeking guidance from the drugs when I should have just trusted myself in the first place.

I also wouldn't say ego death would be what you seek for your depression/cynicism, ego death is kinda overrated in psychedelics. Sometimes beautiful, but it's more the sort of thing you work your way up to instead of going for it right from the get go. You can get all the benefits off a trip at lower doses, although I don't really fuck with micro dosing unless you have a specific plan for it.

      • This is pretty important info and I appreciate it. And the micro dosing stuff too. Therapy in the convential sense isn't helping me much. There's just too much to unpack in bi weekly hour sessions. Every therapist seems to just want to push me off. Which kind of turns me off.

I had a dream two nights ago about accidently cutting off my junk and it seeing it was more of a prosthetic. Maybe it was foreshadowing the Musk story, but I looked down at the stub that was left and just wondered - now that would work? Like I wasn't too worried / freaked out.

    • psychedelics increase neuroplasticity and give you the potential to expand your mind. My first time tripping was a big catalyst to discovering my gender identity

      it's a tool, not a solution

  • as a free market enjoyer, i would have simply invested the money in commercial real estate instead of buying and consuming enough ketamine to break my penis.

the world's most divorced man has lost the Mandate of Heaven.

  • It's weird that this is what they take issue with, the article almost makes him relatable.
