It's more surprising that Apple ever held the top spot in China. There's like what... 50-100 million people with the disposable income to justify an iPhone, and probably 500+ million people who would go with a local manufacturer?
- The middle class in China is larger than the middle class in the US. The number of poor is also larger. But it is no longer a nation of poor people.
  
  What constitutes the middle class in China? How comparable is it to the US?
- iPhone is a status symbol everywhere you go. Many I see rather using old af ip7-8 instead if using a new midrange one.
