My S8 performs better than my S21+ Ultra.
The S21+ has one of the worst camera and can't focus. There was a post about it on Samsung with tons of customer interactions but it was taken down a few months back.
Have you tried using camera assistant to change the focus priority setting?
I've tried every setting and reseting the settings. Pictures just won't focus. By the time I put it together the warranty ended. That's kind of the deal with everyone who posted on the Samsung site.
Camera Assistant as well though? It's a separate app via Good Lock.
