We can help, we can even insist, that our Arab and European allies work to create a more effective, less corrupt and more legitimate Palestinian Authority in the West Bank that, after some transition in Gaza, could help govern there as well.
It feels off to call Israel European, both denying them nativehood and making them more sympathetic for white supremacists. Israel is not exclusively made up of Europeans and their descendants.
Countries in Europe which support Israel are going to help rebuild the PA and the US will have some influence over how? That seems unlikely to me, but you could be right
France or Germany will work with Palestinians to create a more effective Palestinian Authority? I don’t really see that, but maybe.
If I were Palestinian, I would not want to work with more European colonial powers to help pacify the region, especially Germany, which is understandably going to always have complicated feelings of guilt and responsibility towards Israel
Clearly, European powers and the US are going to work the Israel half of the problem and Saudi Arabia and Turkey can work the Palestinian half of their problem. With enough participation in the process, perhaps Iran will even shut up long enough for it to work.
The Irish and Italians were put down as minorities in the 1800s, until they got absorbed as "whites" by the racist assholes who decided they everybody should fight other minorities with darker skin. White supremacists are going to supremacize.
Yeah, I guess I just don’t really see who this is for. White supremacists already tend to support Israel, but it’s harder to support them if you say they’re from elsewhere. I didn’t get an explicit white supremacist vibe from the rest of the piece, did I miss it or did this slip through?
Jews are Schrödinger's white people. They exist in a state of quantum superposition. They are both white and non-white. The superposition collapses into being white (or non-white), once the people arguing about them decide if their being white suits the argument they're trying to make.
