  • I wish I had days like that

    • I had most of a year like that. It was utterly miserable. I feel like i am worse off for having experienced it, like i wasted so much of my life and have absolutely nothing to show for it beyond "made rent".

      • I guess it would mostly depend on how well you could hide doing other stuff, like reading a book or drawing something. But if the only thing you could do is pretend to work I can imagine it becoming boring pretty fast.

  • I absolutely suck at pretending to work. If I have no work left to do at work, I don't know how to look busy so I just go hide in the freezer or bathroom for a while and hope something got fucked up enough to need cleaning up when I come out.

This wouldn't be a problem if I was actually working in the kitchen. But as the janitor, I can usually complete everything that has to be done twice a day 2 hours before my shift is over. The only real variables are emptying trash and cleaning the bathroom if someone got wild in there.
