[ESPN] Dejounte Murray, Hawks finalizing 4-year, $112 million extension
Dejounte Murray and the Atlanta Hawks have agreed in principal on a four-year contract extension worth up to $120 million, agent Rich Paul told ESPN.
Dejounte Murray is finalizing a four-year, $112 million contract extension with the Atlanta Hawks that can increase to $120 million with bonuses, his agent, Rich Paul, told ESPN's Brian Windhorst on Thursday.
Murray averaged 20.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and 6.1 assists last season in his first season with the Hawks after being traded from the San Antonio Spurs. Murray teamed with Trae Young in the backcourt to lead the Hawks to a 41-41 record before falling in six games to the Boston Celtics in the first round of the NBA playoffs.
Murray spent five seasons with the Spurs and was named to the NBA's All-Defensive second team in 2018.

Not a fan of his after trashing Pop and the Spurs org. I hope he can grow up and not bring too much drama to the locker room
He’s an obvious sociopath and I’m completely disinterested in him. Pop was one thing. But that summer or two ago where he was a complete asshole to non-NBA pick up game kids was unacceptable.
Yeah he’s a trash person and it’s sad that our society rewards bad behavior with huge contracts just because they are good at something.

I will try to find more egregious one, but basically escalating variations of trash like this. Him often hitting people with the ball, who are not NBA players at all.
