Also, consider The Electronic Frontier Foundation, Wikipedia, and The Internet Archive
- Wikipedia shall get their money from google and other big companies that use the database. There are many more projects that can use money much better
  
  Good to know. I was thinking of donating but I’ll give to the internet archive instead.
  
  I'd recommend donating to your national Wikimedia chapter if you aren't in the US. They're not funded by megacorps and they often struggle financially, and they're the ones doing a lot of work on the ground.
