There is a reason why AI gets so much funding. Ultimately corporations see it as a way to either a) save extreme costs or b) gain extreme profits.
It's one reason why I think it's time to stop technological advancement for the sake of corporations. We all stand to lose, and while potential AI applications are interesting in an academic sense, given the current social and political climate, they're just dangerous.
What is it you think they're doing now? You buy term life insurance when you're young and healthy, you get a low rate. You buy when you're older and have higher risks, you pay more. They have statisticians calculating your expected lifespan, and modern "AI" models are really just statistical models with larger datasets. It's not really that unreasonable or new a concept.
