I feel the same, it is not a good name, I guess that copying these Reddit names makes it easier to identify the content. But yeah... could be better.
Makes it easier for people to migrate as well, if they have a bunch of subs they follow they can just search for it on Lemmy and it'll probably appear. Maybe some sort of functionality for communities to have aliases? Like if you search unixporn, this community comes up but is named whatever else. Could work
