I have Plus and Game Pass. I bought Ragnarok and Horizon but Sony is really struggling to make interesting games. Their major games are few and far between and they are just rehashing the same concepts over and over. Now knowing Insomniac are stuck making super hero games for 10 fucking years, it's going to continue. They have no interesting multiplayer games, all their single player games are sequels to samey 3rd person action games. They are quality but there aren't any innovative mechanics or ideas. I will be waiting for future titles to release on PS Plus because of this. I'm baffled by their lack of releases on PS5 so far.
Their games sell well. This article is about games losing sales after coming out on ps plus.
I'm not sure what you are trying to say aside from you don't like their games, but their games sell well. This article is not about their games not selling well.
I like their games but they need to pivot at least a little. I'm saying that it makes sense. People like me are going to wait for PS Plus and choose not to buy the game.
No, not people like you, everyone. That's what their data shows. That's what they are saying, and it has nothing to do with the quality. People are demonstrably happy to pay for it, but if it's available on ps+, they all stop.
They are saying specifically that their content has a value and that ps+ devalues it massively. This has nothing to do with the kind of content they make or if you think that they need to pivot. If they did that, the same effect would be seen.
Have to disagree a lot here. I pretty much only play PC games because I hate buying console games that are unplayable after 1 generation or, with backwards compatibility, maybe an additional generation. PC games work forever between VMs and all that so I’m happy to spend money on those.
That being said… the only console I’ve bought in years was a PS5 (ok, my wife got it for me as a gift but it’s the same thing). Between the Spider-Man games, God of War, FFVII remake, Uncharted, etc., I’ve had a great experience and will continue to buy exclusives and, more than likely, re-buy them when they release on PC.
For most games, I’m a patient gamer. I don’t get them right away. Spider-Man 2 was the first time I got a game on launch day in a while and it kicks ass. Anything else needs to be 50% off or more before I go in.
You guys don't want another 3rd person action/adventure game with hack and slash combat? They even have pretty graphics (as far as consoles are concerned)!
