It was slightly innovative to have buildable starships, wasnt it? Probably enough that the average steam voter went 🤯.
3 14 ReplyYou think it's the first game with buildable starships? That's been a whole GENRE of games for like 15 years now.
15 0 ReplyMore than 20. Eve came out in 2003.
8 0 ReplyYeah, but how many of them are good?
Like kerbal space program is AWESOME.
Space Engineers was... blocky.
5 3 ReplySpace engineers is no more blocky than Starfield.
11 0 ReplyStarbase is pretty good but it needs more development in the "game" parts. As a spaceship making sim its pretty dam good
2 0 ReplyBest starship builder ever, imho! But not much to do but mine and build, if one doesnt play multiplayer. Got tired of it eventually.
2 0 ReplyThere's plenty to do if you install mods, particularly Modular Encounters Systems. Also, check out Splitsie's Survival Impossible -series if you need more inspiration :)
2 0 ReplyCool! Stuff like that wasn't around when I played it last.

Slightly. It was basically "modular base with wings!" It was nice, but even that got complaints about how tedious it was to build ships, IIRC.
8 0 ReplyShould've added the /s at the end, my dude. Sarcasm detectors don't work on Internet text.
Also, after reading your comment I immediately thought of the gummy block ships from Kingdom Hearts and lol'd at myself.
4 0 ReplyYeah. But the part about average steam voter being easily impressed wasnt sarcasm.
