SMS is no longer available on Android Facebook Messenger app as early as Sept 28

As early as September 28, 2023, SMS messages will no longer be available when you update your Messenger app.

So, what happens if you're overseas and have voice coverage but not data?
Has SMS been replaced by another messaging system, and I missed the memo?
- You'd have to use your regular SMS app. You just wouldn't be able to do it from Facebook Messenger.
