I would most definitely visit a theater to see this. Loved this movie!
I need enlightenment. I was a huge fan of FFVII as a kid and was so excited to hear Cloud and the gang actually talk and then Advent Children dropped and I was like okay that was interesting. I forgot about it and then watched it as an adult and understood the appeal less than I did when I was younger.
But as I’ve gotten older I think I’ve slowly grown to see how goofy and sweet the original FFVII was and how the extended universe has kind of forgotten some of that. Remake did a good job of reminding me, but maybe the nostalgia glasses are a bit thick.
Yeah, I try to ignore most of the external FFVII stuff for the most part. This movie is one of the few things I enjoyed that extended the story a bit. Plus, I think it was just really cool to see a cgi cast the way we all wished the game had been made.
I personally think Square has butchered the remakes in how they've done them, so even that to me is something I try to treat as a separate thing bcz it's a pretty clear cash grab.
I would probably even visit a cinema for that, but nothing heared from europe
