Comically bad from the ref and VAR last night to not give Wolves a penalty (and gift United two points in the process). At least they've apologised, so that's all fine now....
The worst part is with the World Cups on both the men's and women's sport, it's clear that there is better options out there. You're telling me the richest league in the world can't get at least one guy or gal who's better than the crud we have now?
@Astrealix@Matt_Sams_314 agreed. The PL has players, managers, owners from all over the world; would make sense to have best refs from around the world
What is the fucking point of selling Tierney if we're gonna replace him. We would need to replace him even without Timber's injury but like, what's the actual fucking point of selling him unless he's causing a fuss.
@Astrealix
The same reason we sold Turner and replaced him with Raya: we need players who can cope with and enhance this system, not drag it down to their level.
Tierney treats the ball like a handgrenade too often.
And he comes across as a not very intelligent player.
One would think his quality would allow us to come out with a profit or at least without losing money, and with a player that can gel with the system better. Seems in practice we're still struggling to find a good price for him but maybe Newcastle is about to change that.
That being said, it's crazy to me that there is no room for a traditional LB like Tierney in this squad. Football tactics have gone so far out there at this point that before long Sam Allardyce is gonna come back and revolutionize the game with 4-4-2 hoofball and everybody is going to act like it's never been seen before.
Honestly, I think Tierney can absolutely learn the inverting role anyway, and he already has been. He plays centre-back for Scotland, for fucks sake. Mans was our best player for a good while and you're telling me he can't even get a spot on the bench when our first choice is out? Make it make sense. He's got a good mentality as well and clearly is eager to get his chance.
Bit surprised Neville predicts #Arsenal for the title, but let's hope he's right. Also surprised at how Villa are predicted for top six, but Brighton aren't 🤔
On paper at least, Brighton has gotten a lot worse, while Villa has gotten a lot better. Could absolutely see Emery getting back to Europa. I mean, it's fucking Unai Emery, of course it'll be Europa.
I think we'll see Nwaneri get actual game time this season. I'd still put Holding before Walters ngl. The step up is more difficult than people think with how every prospect is expected to be exciting and make it. I do think there's a chance for Walters, but to have as many as we have had is already a fucking insane achievement.
Look, I don't wish bad things to happen to people, but this bad thing is okay for us. Also, Man Cheaty are bad. I hope Kevin gets well and transfers out.
Idk how to react to this. How are they allowed to buy up all the talent? Why are players dumb enough to join this mess? What if they(my personal favourite) don't get top 5 after all this?
