Drew Goddard, who has worked on everything from "The Martian" to "The Good Place," will write and direct the new film. Your simulated future is about to look very different.
Yeah, I wasn’t a fan of the ‘love conquers all” direction we went with the last one. Hope they fold in some more inspired nineties postmodern sci fi elements/themes
That’s the point of the Marrix though - love is what allows us to find enough common ground with the machines to move forward together and stop the endless war. It’s been the theme of all the movies.
I was watching a clip of the Architect mentioning they were on the 6th iteration and that the population of Zion is rebuilt every time. I thought it would have been cool to focus on a character who manages to find remnants of the previous versions with someone’s written account and either they go mad or start questioning if they’re in another matrix.
If you look at it from the viewpoint of the Wachowski sister purposely making it shit it's actually enjoyable. She straight up tells you at the beginning of the movie that it was going to be made with or without her, so she chose to take the piss. I didn't understand until it turned into a heist movie with all the tropes halfway through, and then I was amazed that she was able to get this movie made and released in the state it's in. That movie is art.
Instead of a payphone he's gonna use an applevision pro. And instead of the matrix he's gonna enter the metaverse. Instead of that gross food he's gonna eat takis. Instead of red pills and blue pills it will be coke or Pepsi.
He's also going to get a real world cross over guide to setting up payments and renting fake property. He will gladly had over all his person data for the benifit of the company since he knows who the real good guys were all along.
