Seems to offer most of the isolation benefits of a separate/work profile without the downside of it being completely isolated. I'm cautiously optimistic about a new android feature, and it's been a while since I've been able to say that!
I haven't seen any mention, but can it ensure the apps are offline when not in use?
My main use for shelter are the apps that I very rarely use, and I don't want notifications or battery usage, aside from the privacy.
