New York police apprehended Kashaan Parks, 39, as a "person of interest" wanted for the horrific rape of a 45-year-old victim in The Bronx that was filmed on surveillance video.
The video, which circulated widely online Thursday, shows the masked man sneak up behind his victim, snag her around the throat with a looped belt and drag her to the ground.
I’ll admit I was curious by the promise of a lasso, of which a belt is not.
Lasso implies a whimsical nature, this guy just choked a lady.
Right. A cowboy riding through New York City lassoing women and raping them in an alley. There’s nothing actually good about that, but the whole set up is hilarious.
So "lassoed" caught your eye and you missed the word "raped" two words later?
