I was interested in trying Aventus dupes a couple of years ago. I tried a number of samples and actually bought tubs of some of them. Of the ones I have, I think Succès is the best. I doubt that it is note-for-note accurate but, to me, it has the best feeling of high-key freshness that real Aventus has.
Brush: APShaveCo - Butterscotch with 24 mm Tuxedo knot
Razor: Zwilling J. A. Henckels Friodur 14 (8/8", extra hollow ground, stainless steel)
Lather: Chicago Grooming Co. - AG 1889
Post Shave: Stirling Soap Co. - Friends to the End
Fragrance: Maison Francis Kurkdjian - Baccarat Rouge 540
Theme: AG1889 is a dupe of Guerlain Jicky, and it's so good I keep using it despite getting all tingly from using it (yeah, I know).
Relevant post & frag: Bear with me: When I got my set of 1889, I immediately got a fresher version of Baccarat Rouge and said so on the discord. I was met with some push back, but who are you going to trust? My nose or some randos? So the relevance is that 1889 smells like a fresher variant of BR, and Friends to the end is the on theme version of BR. (Or vanilla, if you prefer my critics.)
Great shave with my prized Frio 14, hands down my best razor.
