If you're about to buy a Pixel in Europe, try to hold off for a week

Given the wrapped Pixel phone, tablet and watch in the screenshot, a good guess is that Google Store will celebrate the company's 25th anniversary by discounting the Europe prices of those devices in a week. So if you're in Europe and were planning to buy a Pixel, try to hold off a bit ๐Ÿ˜

Google Store celebrated that same anniversary a bit early in Japan and slashed the prices of Pixel devices by 25%: https://9to5google.com/2023/07/30/google-store-25th-birthday/

There's no guarantee we will see the same discounts, but it's worth a shot!

EDIT: clarified that it's in Europe only for now.

  • If we're lucky and we get the same 25% discount as in Japan, the price of the Pixel 7a on Google Store would fall from โ‚ฌ509 to โ‚ฌ381.75 (compare that to the best deal currently on Amazon that is โ‚ฌ479). That would make it just unbeatable.

I expect other retailers to drop the prices of the Pixel 6a as a result, otherwise people would just prefer the Pixel 7a on Google Store as the prices would be too close.
