Create Voice Training Data For StyleTTS 2 Locally - Phonotate.App

Hello,

I wanted to finetune StyleTTS 2 with my own voice and it was very tedious to create the training data by hand. I could not find an application specifically to create this kind of voice training data, so I made my own. I have been working on this for about a week so it's still a work in progress. Please feel free to add ideas, suggestions, or requests.

Here is the description:

Phonotate.App is a local, open-source Electron app built with React designed to simplify creating training data for StyleTTS 2 and voice cloning models. Phonotate provides a seamless workflow for recording, analyzing, and managing voice samples. Whether you use open-source backend services or OpenAI APIs, this app ensures that all your data remains secure and within your control.

You can see screenshots of the application in action on the README.

beaconDB is an open, and privacy-friendly network location service, replacing Mozilla's defunct location service

cross-posted from: https://lemmy.dbzer0.com/post/24292207

beaconDB is a drop-in replacement for MLS, which uses the same format request that's used by Mozilla's Ichnaea.

The source code is available on Codeberg: https://codeberg.org/beacondb/beacondb

You can contribute to the project by using an app like NeoStumbler (GitHub) or Tower Collector (GitHub) to submit location reports. NeoStumbler does Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GSM, while Tower Collector can only do GSM cell towers. Both are FOSS and available on F-Droid.

It is also recommended by the GrapheneOS project: https://grapheneos.social/@GrapheneOS/112759509558471713

My Niagara Launcher subscription ended today... enter Kvaesitso

I woke up this morning to an awful looking homescreen on my Android - turns out my Niagara Launcher subscription had lapsed!

I went to check the renewal prices, and they were literally 2-3x more expensive than what I was paying recently - not really excited about that.

Since my homescreen already looked like garbage, I decided may as well try Kvaesitso, a FOSS search-based launcher. I tried it in the past, but abandoned it since I would want to set up my homescreen and apply an icon pack to all the apps individually.

After several hours of setup (mainly applying the icon pack 😭), I've been using it throughout the rest of the day and I'm pretty pleased with it, it's a very smooth, polished and well thought out minimal search-focused launcher. Here's what I like and don't like so far:

Like

  • Search is much more powerful: can use DuckDuckGo or any custom search engine, search app shortcuts (i.e. webpages saved as apps), as well as tagging apps - none of these are possib
