Installed these in a school (not my choice of brand, but management wanted the cheapest possible thing with no other considerations as usual, fuck the privatisation of schools). I blocked them from any and all network access of course. The only thing they could communicate with was the also offline NAS hosting the footage.

They're pretty shit and I don't recommend them. Buy European instead if you're not a broke bum.

I think it varies from person to person. My gf can't tell the difference at all, even when she really tries, neither can a friend of mine (who also use the most insane jerky screen settings on his TV). For me, I can't imagine going back to 60hz ever again. It feels like something is physically wrong with my phone if I turn 120hz off.

I fully agree with you. I would however like to see better protection for children from these sects. No child should be allowed to suffer genital mutilation in order to mark them as members of the cult for example. Only one party in my country has suggested this, and quickly changed their mind when Yahweh cultists threatened violence and at the same time claimed victimhood over the thought of not being allowed to physically abuse their children.

That's the thing though. We do care for suicidal people in this society. We should care even if they're killing themselves slowly. It's not a choice they're making. It's literally mental illness.

You can't be sent back if there's a legitimate threat to your life waiting for you. Like being a woman in bad standing with her family, or being gay. It happens anyway sometimes of course, and people do lie sometimes. Although I have a hard time seeing a devout Muslim being in a committed gay relationship just for a visa/citizenship.

If I didn't know a lost cause when I see one, I'd recommend them to seek out a mental health professional. These are sick people who will suffer and die an horrific death by their own hand at an early age.

These are severely ill people who will die prematurely even if they get the help that they need. Do you walk up to cancer patients and go: "oh you are so beautiful just the way you are, never change"?
