I get the sentiment of some to be all "tHeY'rE mAd AbOuT aN aPp, NoT bOmBiNg CiVilIaNs!" but we've been bombing civilians for 25 years now, while the Signal controversy is new. You can (and should) be mad about both things but right now we need to recognise that the Signal scandal is giving us leverage on both sides on the aisle to move against this administraion.
We'd be fools not to lean in and leverage this moment
Deftones are VERY horny
There's person holding the baby that's been shopped out
My bank app worked fine. NFC payments not so much. It was a tradeoff I was willing to make
I used Lineage as a DD for like a year
Presta valves always seemed ok but like Schraders were fine too. It sort of felt like a lateral step moving to Prestas
Maje sure you have enough food and ammo
Now I'm just picturing the Renisance Center turning into a giant mech
Basically this if you're unfamiliar
I'm not going to write you an essay
There are good video essays on the subject by Benn Jordan, Not Just Bikes, and Adam Something that (mostly) are a good overview of the problem and their videos explain things better than I'm ever going to write
Also the eternal taxi idea just seems like a shit excuse for not building other transit options. Like why not build trains and bike lanes instead of that
From where I'm sitting that's very far from reality for a whole lot of reasons. I'd be happy to be wrong (because cars are unacceptably unsafe as-is) but there's a long way to go
Happened awhile ago. It was and is still a bad idea IMO
In the auto industry pennies matter. Inevitably some higher-up will convince himself that they can accomplish the same thing with just a camera and some software. Margins tend to be more important than quality. I'm not saying that's right, its just what tends to happen
I work in vehicle testing, specifically on ADAS and autonomous driving features. One thing that gets overlooked with Waymo is the fact that that fucker has a 6-figure price tag on the sensing equipment on it. You'll never see that on a production level vehicle
Yeah, it's pretty terrible
It's tough. BandMix is trying to be the solution to this but its pretty terrible. Any sort of local social media may have postings looking for bandmates. Or you can try to meet people at shows or music stores. You'd be surpried how many people still use Craigslist

If you can afford I would get professional help. This is not something I have experience with personally but I've often heard of people not being able to process certain emotions so I would assume its somewhat common. A decent therapist would likely have a good understanding of how to help you navigate this.
If you can't afford that then talking about on lemmy or elsewhere probably wouldn't hurt. Even if we can't offer much advice I figure writing it out like that could probably help you process your feelings on some level
Playing in a band will make you a better musician. Most musicians' first couple bands suck so don't worry too much if you aren't any good at first. Just focus on having fun and improving. Find some people near your skill level and enjoy
