Nobel laureates can be wrong too, even when it's on the topic of what they won for. Just look at Obama's drone warfare program after he won the Peace prize.
What does issuing sanctions against a single person actually do, like functionally? I assume a ban on travelling to the US, but is that it? Is it anything like issuing a fatwa against someone?
This was the original plot of The Matrix (the Machines were using human brains for parallel computing), but producers thought the movie-going was too dumb to understand it so they forced the Wachowskis to change it to generating power.
Hey, you asked if Biden was being antisemitic by using antisemitic language. I assume you did so trying to "gotcha" someone with a double standard accusation, given the phrasing of your original question. However it didn't work out that way so you decided to shift the goalposts to try and score points which also hasn't worked. Just take the L and move on.
My guess (and this is pure speculation based on your other replies in this thread) is that you use words like "Shylock" and "Shyster" fairly often without considering their cultural connotations. Now you're confronted with your own internalized prejudice and don't like how it makes you look so you're trying to make it someone else's fault.
Then he was negligently being antisemitic. The result is the same: harmful stereotypes propagated due to his choice of words and his failure to consider them more carefully.
Dark Souls and any of its copycats. Grinding a boss for hours on end just to learn it's patterns is not how I like to spend my free time. Aside from that: why is that whole genre so bleak? Apart from maybe "Another Crab's Treasure" they're all dark and gray/brown and unrelentingly depressing. Does the gameplay lend itself to that particular aesthetic? Or is everyone just copying Dark Souls that hard?
It's genuinely good that that worked for you, it won't work for everyone and even for the people it would help, sometimes there's a block that requires another fix to get past so it can work. Your experience is entirely valid, but using that experience to invalidate the experiences of others is not cool.
