  • This but also:

Files already had a search button, but now, you get a new search icon in the top-left corner of the window, and the older search icon gets a new look. gnome 46 global search button screenshot

You can also head to search settings to adjust how you want to look for things.

The new search button lets you search across the system. However, the older one (with a new look) lets you search inside the current folder/directory you are in.

Is really new peaks of not-a-new-feature

  • I’ve fallen deep down the Silverbullet rabbit hole. Self hosted markdown editor but with built in dataview style querying (if you used Obsidian that will be familiar), accessible cross platform and with a progressive web app, and basically endlessly extendable with a scripting language. Really really enjoying it and it’s made me finally move from Obsidian, which I used to evangelize (and pay for the premium sync features). Definitely check it out. Silverbullet.md

  • Idk I’m loving what I’m seeing because as an Obsidian evangelist that’s paid for Sync for years, basically all I want that obsidian doesn’t have is self hosting and FOSS. I have most of my daily apps self hosted and accessible as web apps, not needing to get out of the browser and able to more easily jump between devices would be great.
