If the internet has taught me anything it's that no one is an expert in anything
  • Experts often qualify their answers and a certain segment of the population sees this as weak. It makes sense if you consider the strength of your faith being an asset you would view any nuance as weakness.

  • Out of all the cars you've owned, which one holds a special place in your heart as the absolute favourite.
  • I’ve got an outback with the premium sound and whomever tuned that system must have massive low frequency hearing loss.

Like, thanks for the subwoofer, why did you let a 19 year old from 1998 tune it?

Everything else except the PCB draining the battery 4 times completely in a year before I knew what was happening and replaced it and the thin ass fake leather seats literally peeling from the heated seats and the worse than advertised gas mileage is great!

  • Poor people don’t have time above all else. A lot of times they are working 2 jobs, sometimes with those jobs doing shady scheduling where you are essentially on call without being paid for being on call.

Also tons of people just aren’t as smart as you are at computer things. Guess what? If they were you wouldn’t be as cool as you are for being able to do it.

I’ve found everyone has something they can teach me, whether it’s how to be or how not to be.

A great way to use your talent would be to assemble the resources that made you good at something and post it online so others can be lifted up by your knowledge.

Everyone in this entire world’s life is at minimum as complex and nuanced as your own. It’s kinda rough to assume laziness of people you don’t know well.

I’ve been up and down, and I ain’t better than anyone on here, I’m just trying to add a little of my perspective.

  • If you start a business and you cannot make money paying a fair wage and making a work environment people want to be in you shouldn’t have a business.

Easy for me to say, right, why don’t I go out and try?

I don’t have to. I watched my dad run a small business over the last 25 years. People don’t leave, they retire. People are treated with respect and paid fairly for the work they do. Bonuses are given when sales are exceptional. People are told to go to their kids soccer game, it’s more important to be there than at work, we will cover you.

Are people still unhappy with the idea of having a job? Yeah I think that’s pretty universal. But the culture they have makes it a lot better than many alternatives, and it turns out you can make enough money to be doing well and still pay your people well if your business is sound.

  • Nothing wrong with it man, ask away. They put a lot of effort into making it hard to give you the amount of breadsticks a human would require because they want to sell you to go breadsticks. So standard was table plus one first basket, number of people at the table for subsequent baskets. I wanted you to have the bread, I also wanted tips from my other tables. People underestimate how long it takes to grab something and how long that can feel for another table who hasn’t been greeted (that’s a good 2 minutes). It’s not your fault, but it’s stressful.

Edit: I want to add a little perspective. When I left Olive Garden I worked at a restaurant where the only thing unlimited was water and handled up to 16 tables. My section at Olive Garden was 3 during peak hours, up to about 6 off hours.

  • Interesting. Did you know you can find my address by looking up property records? It’s free, anyone can do it. You can see how much my house cost, how much taxes I pay, etc.

Did you know you could look up Name, Phone Number, Address, Criminal History, Convictions, and Court Cases involving the individual searched using a license plate number?

I really do appreciate the explanation. I really don’t feel scared. For what it’s worth I used hide my email and a vpn. I guess if I am ever important I will have to consider more. As it stands, everyone already knows what I’m up to, I use google services.

Equifax. I know you know what I’m talking about. Why should I give a shit if I’m gonna be exposed by the stewards supposedly safeguarding my most sensitive info anyway?

  • Are you suggesting to me that a drop shipper having my fake Apple Pay card number will get breached and a hacker will take the time to reverse engineer that fake data to crack apples algorithm

Or is reality more like they’re gonna buy a data file and use the cards they can crack immediately?
