  • Thank you for letting me know about this translation. I tried many years ago to read TCoMC but it was so apparent that the translation was essentially word for word with no contextual translation so things made little sense.

I'm going to look out for this version at a library. It is far easier to read footnotes in paper form.

  • Hopefully someone pissed on his grave today, hopefully someone who lost many loved ones during the AIDS epidemic in the 80s is still around to remember that that shitstsin of a president slow walked his response to people dying because he thought it was just the "gays" dying.

  • That is what led me to about a year of Soylent and pho. I couldn't be bothered to cook for myself often, I was single, had a long commute, worked near a pho restaurant. So I drank a Soylent for breakfast and lunch then had a large beef and brisket pho every day.

  • Gord Downey of the Tragically Hip.

His music was songs of more than one generation of Canadians. I caught the last few songs of the live streamed final concert. I almost missed it because I was on graveyard shift and slept through an alarm.

I caught my favorite song "Ahead by a Century" and since he passed, I haven't been able to listen to that song again. When it comes on the radio I either turn it off or leave the room. It is too sad to hear. It has been harder in the last two years because my sister died of the same brain cancer as him. She played music with a few Canadian bands but never met them.

  • Season 1 of The Wire.

It built an atmosphere of shady incompetence in the police and gang members alike.

It was interesting how it was redone for each season.

It was the same song but different angles like each season took a different look at what makes crime move through all the parts of society.

  • Maybe look into a biolite stove for cooking if you are doing cooking outside. You just need a small amount of wood to boil water or fry an egg or two.

You can either use scrap wood or tree branches off the ground, if you want a space efficient fuel then buy the wood pellets used as kitty litter or pellet stove fuel.

It has the bonus of charging electronics while it cooks you dinner. Make sure to have a long cord so your food doesn't splatter on the screen.

  • They will probably say they have no room and bus them out of town to another facility that will kick them loose after a few days. Make it some other city or towns problem. I have heard rumors which happen each summer, that cities are bussing their vagrants to other towns to clear their problems to somewhere else.

  • America will just be sitting in their corner with a giant coal rolling diesel pickup while everyone else silently rolls into the future (unless they are going below 25km/h, then a pedestrian safe hum will be emitted into the future).

  • I remember back in 1998 in my Desktop Publishing class, a girl wanted to sign up for an email address. I told her to go to hotmail.com to create one. She typed in hotmale.com and got a whole different kind of website than she was expecting.
