I doubt many rules based order people consider the election democratic, it was widely reported in MSM that there was a ton of vote buying, etc.

this is a really basic questsion, but what do you think of this protest?

I'm not saying the US state department is not involved, but I would not be very thrilled with this party even though it is the prominent anti western party. If you're a young person and see stuff like this happening it's not surprising that you would be protesting a party like this, especially if both Georgia Dream and the NGOs are telling you that EU membership and gay rights are linked to each other.

I know this is mostly related to the recent election and the foreign agents law, but, I'm sure there is a lot of resentment among young people for a very socially conservative party started by the richest man in the country.

Yeah, the video mentions that multiple people are still around in leadership positions that were there during the time where that was a thing so you would probably hope to see some accountability from those individuals, In theory you could do that without changing the name and logo, but I feel like a lot of people will never look at it the same way after learning where it came from.

I think, at a bare minimum they should change the name and logo, but maybe I'm a lib for that as it would probably just be performative, just seems indefensible to me to keep it

the real answer is check Goodwill and other local thrift stores first, there tend to be a lot of coffee makers there for cheap and most places will have return policies so if it's broken you can just bring it back

The gym part is even more confusing for me, like why do they have a women's gym in the white house to begin with, is it just a historical vestige or is there so much sexual harassment in DC that they needed to lock out the men? It's not a particularly normal thing in the US to have women's gyms, the YWCA allow men. Even if they are going with the she's not a woman argument, how does that apply to the gym?

Tbf the UK would have used veto power too if they didn't only need one veto to stop it and are esentially pretending like they support a ceasefire to avoid bad PR, probably the same thing for a least a few of the other countries on the council like France and Japan, although I'm 100% confident the UK is faking it and less so for the other countries

I feel like we're so far past bread it would be viewed on an equal level as Elon giving a million to a random person for voting, a candidate that used their campaign funds to help people would probably get investigated and somehow disqualified from running.

It has a lot to do with the concepts of "The American Dream" & "Equality of Opportunity" being poor is seen ultimately as being a personal/moral failure and all poor people instead of demanding change should instead keep quiet and buckle down and maybe if they work hard enough they will be able to send their kid to college so they can join the mythical middle class and live a cushy middle class lifestyle with a house in the suburbs with a white picket fence, 2.5 kids and a dog etc.
