  • Now there's a social contract? Like the ones we have with the government? Yeah I figured out really quick how serious that discord was when they couldn't answer most of my questions and when they weren't even working on the loops project. I'm happy I left

  • Win rar actually worked and gave me pretty much all the pngs at the minimum. I'm sure installed native react but I couldn't get it to recompile. Believe it or not I decided I was putting too much effort into decompiling and went the easier route a ask the discord why this isn't a peertube base project and I figured out no one in that discord knew what was going on

  • I could but I don't need to confirm it that way. Apparently pixelfed is hostile to other instances and people have to register accounts via the flagship pixelfed instance. Also Dan got cancelled two weeks before I entered the discord for insulting a developer he hired for loops so circumstance. So it's obvious to me it's bs filler code that was meant to shut me up.

You could make me look stupid and compile the code on GitHub. I was too lazy to import and wait 3 minutes for Android studios to pop out an error code

  • Actually I reached out to one of the Foss developers of looped that dansup insulted and later dropped because they got offended and called him out befire I joined the loops discord. I sympathied with the developing team and the abuse they received. I shared my story also I thanked her for helping the fediverse

  • Apparently the login screen logo picture is different in the GitHub and APK. Also I did look at the decompile of the APK (ironically you can use WinRAR to decompile but I also used two other app) and the size is completely different sizes like the APK has way more folders. I'd have to look into it again to go through the differences but I'm pretty sure if you compiled the GitHub code you wouldn't get loops apk

  • It comes down to why the user is banned. If it's for their comments then it's mostly fine, but if it's their post are problematic on the comm, like more borderline or it upseta big chunk of the comm, then it will become a pain in the ass for moderators.

I'm thinking the original account can post the "around the comm" till it gets into the comm

  • I'm perfectly fine with telling people what to do that I don't pay. I'll happily say you shouldn't be a Chomo even if they don't ask, plus I didn't ask dun sup to do anything all I did was point out that he didn't follow through on his promises. Then pointed out to other people he didn't follow thought then asked the questions if we wasting our time on loops when peertube exists as a functional fediverse project

  • More like open source™ apparently fediverse is turning into a marketing term. Apparently blue sky's is part of the "fediverse" but it has a different protocol and mastodon can't write to anything on Blue sky and there's only 1 instance

  • Probably but there's more users here and I interpreted "venting" within the the rules. I'll probably crosspost there. All I can say is loops is a marketing vector for dans fundraiser. Loops is actually successful and engaging with a good size user base

  • Don't tell anyone but I'm stress testing lenmy from a technical perspective and social engineering perspective. I can share that crosspost Post from a bank user to a comm they're banned on. That definitely the thing that needs to be patched. The rest I'm gonna wait to publish
