It's not my field of expertise but not much I'd imagine - floodplains are usually low lying flat areas that flood waters will settle in anyways given expected rainfall patterns, and/or due to their proximity to rivers, levees, lakes and dams. You'd dismantle whatever infrastructure was in-place (irrigation systems, filtration, the club house) and let it re-wild.

Golf courses are often built on floodplains, so tbh converting them into protected grassland/wetlands/carbon sinks may be better than building dense housing in flood prone areas. But ofc case by case basis according to topography

We generally don't like Americans as a group, but will bend over backwards to say how our individual yankee mate from uni is actually a decent person if you get used to them. It's more from a sense of cultural inadequacy than actually having any cogent objections to the American empire (for the average person it's posited that America may be a big bully but they're our big bully against the inscrutable *rientals)

For now, you can remove trackers from the URL by deleting everything including and after the ?. The tracking portion of the URL will look like ?si=bunchaletters. Firefox I think allows you to right-click and copy links without trackers, too, but I use mobile so can't confirm how to do it

Also do note, if you block a user, you will also be unable to view any replies to comments they make (but the 'xx more replies > ' link will still show and their comments will show up towards the post comment count. It's a glitch I believe but it's a weird artifact that kind of reminds you of the person you blocked, and can hide legitimate comments you would like to read. (I'm relaying this from what I've heard, I haven't blocked anyone)

I'm sorry it couldn't be more like a study guide, it's more just an assembly of thoughts I threw together on the bus ride this morning. I think my main takeaway for self learning is just start somewhere, because if you spend too long trying to find the perfect one-stop-shop starting point 1) you'll never find it and 2) you're wasting useful time. If you spend that time following a thread for a month or so, even if you need to slightly course correct down the line, you'll be miles ahead of the people who tried to optimise their first step.
