You have to decide for yourself if not having to send it back and the reduced price is worth not having a warranty from the manufacturer. does the seller have to provide warranty anyway in your country? I think this would be the case in my country, if the seller is a business, irrelevant what warranty seagate gives you

Some anecdotal evidence, take it or leave it :-) I have a 12x 4 year old Exos 7E8 (the previous generation) and I've not had any failure yet since I bought em. In the past, I had many (many many..) failed seagate drives but never within the warranty span

They're probably 5 years or older anyway, or do you know the manufacturing date?

I see what you mean, all their docker compose examples are horrible. not one simple deployment, like they want to make it as complicated as possible

good idea, maybe search indexing, I just moved the mountpoints to /mnt and symlinked to /home, as balooctl config ls includeFolders tells me it just indexes /home/user and test it for a few hours or a day. thanks!

can you work around this by copy/pasting maybe all 25 characters at once or maybe each segment at a time?

• alternative: install somewhere else (windows pc or VM) and copy the install dir contents and registry
• alternative 2: get the steam version, I just tried it with proton experimental and it seems to work fine.

edit: steam lets me choose the base game, war chiefs or asian dynasties, AD and WC work without a problem but the base game asks for a key and I can also just input 4 characters instead of 5. but I'd always play with all expansions

I think your panel freezing is https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=469016 and I got rid of it by disabling window previews

Kde has many good wallpapers, I especially like the ones with triangles, like altai and the one with ice
