You are responsible for the actions of people you vote for. You don't get to drop your vote and move on. If you regret it you apologize as if you yourself had done it.

Before I too let the conversation die I just want to point out how much you devalue "political scare tactics" like they have no effect and can be basically ignored by its targets with no repercussions. I want you to think on that for a while. Figure out yourself why that is a self evidently silly thing to say when discussing how they redefined communist to mean traitor and how that means they actually didn't ban communism.

No. Cause that's a waste of time. Being angry that all that context wasn't added is pedantic because we ain't operating with strict definitions that everyone agrees to. We are working with cultural vibe checks. And as far as culture is concerned, China is communist.

Sure, a problem in the sense that it requires a solution. Capitalisms solution is infinite population growth via forced pregnancy. A non capitalist option is to simply use the very large amount of resources available to take care of the old folks. It's not profitable, but that's not the point.
