Anything with a cohesive narrative would have been better than the sequel trilogy, including Dark Empire. Hell, Abrams did Dark Empire anyway, he just compressed it into a single film along with ESB and ROTJ because he's never had a single original idea about Star Wars.
Another weird thing is anti-loitering devices hurt my ears, and those aren’t supposed to affect people older than 20.
That assumes that your hearing is damaged at the average rate. Don't blast your music or TV and wear hearing protection when using a lawnmower or other loud device and you can keep hearing those high pitched sounds into your thirties.
Voyager's command staff also had to merge an undisciplined terrorist crew into a rigid military organization. Pretty sure all the trouble makers in Learning Curve were Maquis.
If you've ever met someone who is highly intelligent in general and absurdly skilled in their field, that's actually pretty realistic. Geniuses are just as prone to sporadically making incredibly stupid decisions as the rest of us.
Zelensky's outfit is very deliberate. Before the war he was clean shaven and wearing full suits like any other national leader. His beard is short, but groomed, and he typically wears fatigues or hoodies. In either outfit, his clothes are in excellent condition. It's a good balance between looking professional and showing his people that he's right there with them.
It's something about the US government being a private corporation and the "real" America being some kind of anarchic state with laws that the gov corp needs to follow despite there not actually being a "true" federal government to enforce them. The gold fringe flag is something about hanging one in a court room makes or means it's a naval military court and therefor has no jurisdiction over anyone not in the navy.
I'm pretty sure the idea behind backing the dwarves to kill Smaug was to deny Sauron a potential asset when the war started.
