  • I had an outbreak of roach intruders when I first moved into my house, and tried all of that shit before eventually finding success with diatomaceous earth.

After basically agent-orange-ing my house, it seemed like it would be less effective than thoughts and prayers, but I swear to god that stuff could ward off a demon. It's basically powerized razorblades for bugs, and it gets into their joints and dries them out from the inside.

Basically just dusted behind all the appliances/cabinets in my house and they were permanently gone in a few days. It's organic and biodegradable - just don't breathe it in.

  • With a day and 12 hours of sleep behind me, I can speculate that I spent so long on it because I reverted to an early save about half way through the first act. I realized there were a bunch of companions I never met and I was getting into the main conflict of act 1 with only two in my party (it was just me and shadowheart, ngl that could have done it for me). 183 is my steam number, I imagine the in-game counter is smaller by at least 30 hours

It does such a good job at encouraging you to spend time exploring that if you don't you actually miss out on the main storyline. Me being a casual before-bed gamer did not realize this,

I finally got through my first playthrough of BG3 after 183 hours

  • Who the fuck greenlit this shit? What is even the point of it?

Honestly, just fuck everything about this. Nobody wants to use their shit site anymore so they just invented fake people to prop it up?

Jesus just let me off this fuxking ride.

I've been listening to "Blackshirts and Reds" on recommendation, but Parenti's view on China seems far more critical than I expected. What is the general opinion on China's post 1978 reforms?

  • I would like to emphasize once again that it was not Russia, but the United States that destroyed the international security system and, by continuing to fight, cling to its hegemony, they are pushing the whole world into a global conflict.

It really rubs me raw having to agree with most things that guy says or does, but I feel this statement quite strongly.

It's so much easier to cope with exploitative working arrangements when you're working for a large company. I almost wish I could go back from working for a small startup

Confession: I still haven't finished and keep losing interest in Disco Elysium

I discovered a new phobia while listening to "Children of Ruin" today
