My ship threw my bags out the window and left me
  • It would have been fine. Just tie it into the story. Shiny electronics, fancy modules, buggy code and lowballed software coding.

"Captain, the system seems to be experiencing... I'm sorry, Captain, your luggage was just ejected into the upper atmosphere..."

    QUEST: System Shocked

Find the bug in the system. Bring your flyswatter. A BIG flyswatter.

Serious graphics and a fun game design set in a universe that feels serious with an underlining of sillyness.

  • Biden warns Hurricane Milton could be worst storm to hit Florida in 100 years
  • 100 years? Careful, last time someone made that claim we had maskless idiots injecting literal poison into themselves while claiming a life saving shot causes autism.

"Don't listen to Biden or the BlueMAGA! If you leave they will take your homes and your land. This "Hurricane" is caused by them! Don't run!"

  • Bethesda Believes Starfield Now Has "Its Own Fanbase"
  • The most infuriating thing about Starfield is its potential. Another year to flesh out the system with a few interesting spots and work out the NPC quirks and that alone would bump it up from high C tier to B. Fundamentally the game just could have been amazing and that is perhaps the biggest reason why I'm, at least, so disappointed by Bethesda. Lots of honestly rather little issues that culminate into a mediocre experience that can and does often get boring quickly.

  • Mexican mayor murdered days after starting job
  • I know this is satire, though it was my understanding that tourists were protected. Like, don't walk down any dark alleys and listen when someone strongly tells you to go somewhere else, otherwise you're reasonably safe. This was a couple years ago though, and I may be remembering things wholly wrong.

    I question those years, man.

  • I'm just trying to buy a hoodie
  • Sooooo depends on what you're using them for. Very few shoes will hold up to retail work, for instance. So 3-6 months for one reviewer without context could be 2 years for you.

  • Let's do something and help each other.
  • You seem to think change happens in a vacuum and that at no stage has anyone attempted to stand in front of the things that have helped millions.

On one hand you have the Right who wish harm on an honestly cartoonish scale. Like, it's difficult to fathom just how much suffering they want to cause others without somehow doing mental gymnastics to wrap your mind around it. They are the cartoon evil villains at the top, while towards the bottom are amongst the poorest, least educated, and angriest people. The vast majority of whom have been living under Republican leadership for generations.

On the other you have a flawed group composed of many different groups whose opinions largely intersect, though often with key differences. Some of them wish harm on others, that is inevitable, though by magnitudes less than the Right. Many of them just want life to be better, and the rest want life to be better for all, including those on the Right. The States traditionally under the Left's leadership have higher quality of life in every measurable aspect, and greater access to institutions who can help them.

You talk about the smaller steps the Left takes while completely ignoring the small steps the Right has taken leading up to this. A gradual decline decades in the making. We CAN fix it, and we could use the help of those who want to be heard. All we ask is to help us win this election and then be the voices that help push that positive change after the election.

  • Anon shares his dating preferences
  • This is an actualized response. In the moment a lot of people can't pull this off, it does take practice. You're right, of course, this is better...I just wish people would more commonly be willing to ask a clarifying question or two before pulling out the butcher's knife.

Some folks just aren't good with their words and may otherwise be great people. In this situation, true or not, they were talking for some time. I think that level of interaction is worth some benefit of the doubt and the tiniest bit of patience. Instead, despite hitting it off and having a great conversation, shallow lady over there judges him by a single moment amongst probably a dozen leading up to it.

...but that is how it goes. That's the game. It's all just a bit silly though.

  • I'm fine with internal preselected individuals getting positions and promotions. What is universally disliked is us also getting interviews only to find out later they were a waste of time for this exact reason.

I'd post a summary, though with these it is often best to go a little more in-depth than some tldr on the subject. Long story short, Trump represents Narcissism and Histrionic, maybe BPD. I'll be honest, I've kept my distance from watching him. Someone else with more screen time, or more knowledge, feel free to chime in with corrections.

  • Sweeping Bill Introduced by Ron Wyden (D) Would Completely Overhaul Supreme Court as We Know It
  • DO allow them to go through a lengthy process, complete with a mountain of precise paperwork, and a committee chosen by their peers, on both sides of the aisle, to accept any form of donation.

    Why?

Cause they're gonna find a way anyway. That or literally just give them excellent benefits that basically equal the recent Thomas bullshit.

Basically I'm searching for other ways to reduce these issues to a minimum long term.

  • Nintendo would "rather go in a different direction" than follow AI trend, says Miyamoto
  • Pokemon effectively makes them all the money they need and all they need to do is sick one of the rabid lawyers they keep in the basement on anyone even remotely infringing upon what they think they own.

They're like a litigation equivalent to McDonald's land ownership twist to company financial equivalency.

  • Your sentiment is fine. The reason you're being downvoted isn't because of your desire to drive a car for your own safety, it's because it appears as if you feel that is the only solution.

This community is interesting because despite the name many users here understand a significant change does need to occur before vehicles can be drummed out at bigger percentages. Many also know that modern infrastructure and working expectations means that a car is the only way a lot of people can make ends meet.

In your case there may be an alternative route, a bus you can take, or even car pooling, amongst other options depending on the location. The answer isn't continuing to pollute, that's just the easy response. But you're right, biking is dangerous and there are motorists out there who have an unhealthy emotional relationship with the road, and against bicyclists. So stay safe, alright?

Just maybe also look at alternatives whilst doing so.
