  • Sounds like it's not the technical side that's too difficult, but managing the users.

  • The study, by Dr Alexander Nurse, a reader in urban planning at the University of Liverpool, found multiple concerns about a “very toxic” and “often abusive” debate about cycling, although this was primarily down to opponents, and often those posting anonymously on social media.

This occasionally went beyond virtual targeting, with one councillor describing having details of their address and family published as a threat, while another respondent said they were followed in the street and their family was abused.

Yeah I don't think this kind of behaviour is very productive to their aims. People in online spaces can get really unhinged.

It's hardly surprising that they prefer face to face discussions.

We do need significantly better cycling infrastructure though.

  • Why not? You don't have to buy them every year.

  • I'm still on 11. How much different is 11 to 15?

  • I used to go to Creamfields and people would walk around with rucksacks full of drugs just casually asking people in the crowd if they wanted to buy some.

Unless she's got a fucking enormous vagina then she must have been just on the limit for personal use. 3 years is crazy.

  • Are you telling me that women don't have a vagain?

  • Hopefully this has severely compromised the structural integrity of the bridge.

  • It was one of the arguments, but I don't think it was anything binding to trigger a second referendum.

  • Ha, well I was a bit late on posting this as I've been busy, really it's for how the previous week went!

  • Yet the people of Scotland said no in the referendum not so long ago. If it was anything like the Brexit referendum I'm surprised anyone would want to go through that again.

  • tl;dw: way less red tape to use a trailer to put an advert on than having a permanent structure.

  • Other than my little pony, I don't think I recognise any of these characters. Hopefully you're about to make me feel young and not old!

  • Tables used to drive me nuts. You'd move a column by mistake and it would be nearly impossible for the lines to align again, like they'd always be 1px out.

  • This is one the few things I can remember and I have literally no use for it.

  • So he thinks people should tactically support progressive parties who support electoral reform (Lib Dems, Greens, SNP, Plaid Cymru), which may hopefully then lead to electoral reform, so that we end up with proportional representation.

I've been doing this most of my voting-age life. Electoral reform for me personally is the most important issue.

  • But the Lowy report said the record high debt now due to China could be used for “political leverage”, noting that it comes amid huge cuts to foreign aid by the Trump administration.

Isn't this the entire point of these initiatives? It gives China a lot of soft power. Maybe they can negotiate some better terms if they vote inline with China at the UN.

  • North Wales is gorgeous! Reminds me a lot of the Lake District. Great pics, looks like you had a great time!

One of my favourite artists performed a DJ set on the train that goes around there, always looks stunning!
