Different people have different lives. My ex was a married mother at 17, I was married with no chance of children at 27, my brother in law is pushing his luck with how old his wife and him will be when they're ready to have kids. Sure my ex was too young, but I've known a 21 year old pregnant with her second that honestly seemed ready, though her husband could pick up some slack from how she told it.
Honestly I'm not condoning this, but I'm surprised it took so long to happen. The football industry damages so many brains, many of which are severely damaged without even making it to the NFL purely in the hopes of making it big.
Tackle football is also grossly unethical to be facilitated by educational institutions with modern knowledge of its effects.

They're focusing heavily on her work mentoring women in a very similar way to how articles focused on the Brian Thompson's humble roots. That narrative attempts to frame her as the "pro woman" side. The implications exist in the rhetorical negative space, that there was a murder and if the victim was so pro woman, what does that say about the killer? And the actual answer is nothing, we don't know enough about the murderer to be certain of their motivations but it sure doesn't look to be about that.
It was also that men were seen as interacting intellectually and sexual desire was associated with women.
I wouldn't be surprised if it was partly due to men not being very involved in the domestic world. Like it makes sense, so much of expectations on women even today revolves around children, so a stereotype that women are horny as fuck as well makes a certain sense to include there.
Though I'll admit I'm thinking of Greece right now and this stereotype may have been one that didn't spread to Rome.
Yeah this seems generally opposed to the concept of a general education. I get that many people don't like that they had to learn all these things in an environment that generally sucked to be in, but also basic understanding of math, science, language, music, etc is just a nice thing for everyone to possess.
Like several of these things will be tangentially encountered at various points in your life. Yeah I've never had to write in cursive, but I've had to read it. I haven't done much chemistry since college, but carbon sure comes into the news a whole lot. I don't use a protractor much, but I've had to imagine them for various uses of space. I don't diagram sentences often, but it's really useful when learning a foreign language, and also way too much of the country thinks pronouns were invented in the 21st century. Communal making of music is something that used to be normal as a fun way to pass an evening and recorders are cheap and easy for children to learn.
I'm only 30 and gay men my parents' age were few and far between when I was a kid. You didn't have old trans people who were open about their life unless they were either sex workers or exceptional enough to be in the public eye. Damn near every lesbian my parents' age was some kind of psychologically broken or she wasn't really involved in the gay community.
The survivors are still around. Anyone who hasn't listened to them should while they're still here because the clock is ticking and hard lives often arent long ones.
