  • The profit margin on these weapons are in the ballpark of 300-3000%, and every middleman on materials and parts along the way does the same song and dance for more handouts.

  • Nope though at that range with what caliber it seems to be, ricochets can be as dangerous

  • Yea I really don't know how anyone who's shot a gun before would look at that and think it's OK to actually shoot. You'll get lucky if you always shot alone like this and at targets at an angle (like he appears to be doing but it's a photoshoot for some reason

    )

  • Yeah there's those thermite munition drones in Ukraine at the moment. Only a matter of time before cheap quadcopter tech can drop a maneuverable metal dart from super high in the sky, otherwise thermite is better for blanketing an area (like EXACTO BMG ammo but much easier). Politician will have to do outdoor speeches under a terminal velocity bullet proof canopy.

  • Yeah it was shrapnel according to the reports, not a shooting per se but pretty damn close with that "range"

  • Other than Linus' evident chauvinism and the conflicts created by firms like Amazon/Microsoft buying into Linux over the last decade, there's no reason the maintenance of a shared global kernel can't include contributions from multiple "Linux Foundations" globally.

  • I hate that I am forced to live under a system that makes me hate Indians, makes me hate all of these people who don't have a choice because those call centers are the best jobs in town.

I think this is basically the angle to approach the other stuff with. It's systemic, sure individuals are doing things still but it's all in context. They'd probably be quite different absent what is effectively a criminal enterprise making all the big decisions in the West for at least the last 400 years.

  • Wow more ways GTA V sux when directly contrasted.

  • I've used them for years. It's just a "put your money where your mouth is" way of polling. Without a cap on how much money a single individual can have in any market (distinct prediction being wagered on), like Polymarket seems to not have, then one person throwing 30M$ into a market and using entirely as a betting book disrupts the purpose of the prediction market as research (which was the basis for their legality in the USA, not sure if that changes but years ago I had to overseas betting sites to bypass the limit on PredictIt, I think it was 1000$ or 1000 shares per market per person).

  • Try to create mind-muscle connections to face muscles. While stoned I've had good luck finding these connections (to glutes, hip flexors, abs, etc years ago when I had to fix my posture). In the past I had to turn my head upside-down or massage my face. It's a nice sensation, like a milder version of any other activity that feels relieving. For me at least it feels like the inside of the roof of my mouth or the stuff right behind my nostrils is being pulled back into my skull and all the pressure equalizes. Sometimes pushing these muscles upward or outward is required for me but I don't usually have to focus on it after making them manual adjustment. I confirmed my face is not changing in the mirror, and when I do engage external facial muscles it's less effective.

  • Leave them leaves alone, fireflies overwinter there

  • yt-dlp (a fork of youtube-dl) is the best option in my opinion, probably IDM just pulls its python package in but then doesn't get updated until IDM gets updated. There are free/open source GUI front ends for it too, I'm not familiar with them myself.

Sometimes it breaks when Youtube update something, and there is probably a battle over ads/3rd party addons for Youtube that may come to a head next year.

I've used it for a decade and a half at this point, based on the earliest stuff in my video archive folder.

  • Yeah the kopmala tweet screenshot (which I assume is real because it gets a lot of play online) means I'm not interested. I've heard Sophie in Beat Saber, at least it's not anime music, so I imagine it's in that vein.

  • Pictured: ISUS driving Toyota trucks

  • Should've added a legal fee contingency to the bribe agreement from Turkish Airlines

  • Hope they're knocking doors in my part of PA. Getting door knocked by British nationals campaigning for Kamala Harris. I would probably burst out laughing honestly.

  • Lol I'm glad no one could be bothered to turn it off. I guess it's one that rotates thru some images
