  • Would you recommend that some of us move to other kbin instances? Or should we stay on kbin.social to help it grow?

Thank you for all your hard work. I would like more people to discover kbin, instead of the other software developed by the tankies.

  • Thanks. Can you please make icons for the following countries?

    • Ukraine
    • Taiwan
    • Hong Kong

And also one for the proposed International Flag of Planet Earth?

  • The site works well enough on mobile, so it is usable without an app.

That said, I prefer to use a native app, or a well-designed webapp like wefwef.

  • The title is very confusing. And the article is like a long essay.

Here is a summary by Chat GPT:

The web page is a blog post by a teacher who argues that most kids today can’t use computers effectively. He shares several anecdotes of students and adults who lack basic computer skills, such as troubleshooting, googling, and programming. He criticizes the education system for not teaching computer literacy and problem-solving, and he urges parents and teachers to help kids become more competent and confident with computers. He also warns that relying too much on technology can make us vulnerable to manipulation and exploitation by those who control it.

  • That's why I prefer to use open source solutions.

  • Is it illegal if I read the book, write a summary and post the summary online?

  • I think people's interests/hobbies are much more interesting than there gender/country etc. Like:

    • Are you a dog person or cat person?
    • Do you think video games are too violent?
    • Do you believe in alternative medicine?
    • Toilet seat up or down?
    • Do you like beans?
  • I'm a human being residing on planet Earth, and I'm composing this message in the English language.

What interesting things did you find from beehaw census?

  • You can search by site using the "site" operator, for example:

    "whatever you want site:lemmy.world"

All the results will be from/via the lemmy.world instance.

  • I stopped using Facebook altogether because of that.

    Reddit follows the enshittification.

  • I am happy to see nothing from the tankies.

  • If you download the internet to the cloud, then you have double the internet. Repeat several times you can crash the Matrix.

  • I would advise you to let the experts do the job instead.

You need to protect your server from hackers, viruses, malware, and other threats that could compromise your data or harm your network. You also need to comply with the laws and regulations regarding the content and services that you host on your server. If you don’t know how to secure your server properly, you could expose yourself to legal liability or cyberattacks.

  • Lots of games in Google Play Store are no longer possible to purchase because they are "incompatible with newer versions of Android".

  • Reddit has clearly shown their priorities. If they change the policies now, they only do it for the money, not for the users.
